Privacy Policy

Effective July 12, 2026 · Applies to Therblig for iOS, version 1.0 and later

Therblig is built so that your data never has to leave your device. This policy explains, plainly, what that means.

Therblig collects no personal data. No account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no network transmission of your studies. Everything you record stays on your device.

What the app stores, and where

Time studies you create — study names, element descriptions, operator and analyst names you type in, timing readings, ratings, and settings — are stored in a local file inside the app's private container on your device. This data is:

Names you type into studies

A time study often includes an operator's name or ID. That information exists only in the study file on your device and in CSV files you choose to export. You are responsible for handling exported files in line with your organization's policies. Tip: an operator code (for example, "OP-14") works just as well as a full name.

Exports are always your action

Data leaves the app in exactly one way: when you tap the export button and share a CSV file through the iOS share sheet — to Mail, AirDrop, Files, or another app you choose. The app never exports or transmits anything on its own.

Purchases

Therblig offers one optional in-app purchase (Therblig Pro), processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your name, payment details, or billing address. Apple provides the app with an anonymized receipt used only to unlock the purchase on your devices. Apple's handling of your payment information is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

No tracking

The app contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party code that communicates with the internet. It does not request the App Tracking Transparency permission because it tracks nothing. The app's privacy manifest declares no data collection and no tracking domains.

Children

Therblig is a professional tool rated 4+ and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.

Deleting your data

You are in full control:

Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side — and nothing for anyone to breach.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)

Privacy laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights over personal data that companies collect about you. Therblig collects none, so there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, sell, or erase. If you believe this is inaccurate in any way, contact us and we will respond promptly.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Therblig ever changes how data is handled — for example, an optional cloud sync feature — this policy will be updated before that version ships, the effective date above will change, and the change will be called out in the App Store release notes. Any such feature would be opt-in.
